Our Story
At Brahaan, fabric isn't just what we work with—it's woven into the very fabric of our family heritage. Founded by Sanjeev Mehra and now proudly carried forward by his sons, Akul and Shubh Mehra, our journey spans over seven generations and more than 100 years of expertise in the fabric and textile trade.
Our legacy began long before today's trends—understanding premium fabrics is in our DNA. In the early 1990s, following India's economic liberalisation, Mr. Sanjeev Mehra was one of the pioneers to import fine fabrics into the country. Operating out of our original store in Lajpat Nagar, Delhi, we quickly earned a reputation for exceptional quality among both retail and wholesale customers across the city.
Evolution
Our evolution continued with the opening of our first retail store in Gurgaon in 2001, where we introduced bespoke tailoring services along with our own exclusive Designs and Styles. Our commitment to quality and innovation has led us to open new flagship stores, each becoming a destination for distinguished gentlemen and influential families:
2001: First retail store in Gurgaon, introducing tailoring and original designs.
2008: Second flagship store launched in Rajouri Garden.
2022: Third flagship store opened in the heart of South Delhi at South Extension Part 2.
2023: Our first flagship store in Mumbai, expanding our presence nationally.
